Hypertrophic Scars and Keloids are created because some skin creates excessive amounts of collagen when it is healing, the result is a thick, widened, and sometime raised scar that remains within the boundary of the injury. If scar tissue that grows over the boundaries of the original cut, creating a puffy, round protrusion is called a keloid scar. Hypertrophic scars and keloids can be itchy, tender, or painful. Typically forms after an injury or surgery.  Most patients don't realize they are prone to hypertrophic scars or keloids until they notice the scars forming as the result of deep cut, an ear piercing or a tattoo.

Atrophic Scars form as a result of skin trauma caused by Caesarean section (C-section), acne or burns. Pitted acne scars, also called atrophic scars, a sunken appearance that makes the surface of the skin look pocked or uneven. An infection such as the chicken pox can cause atrophic scars. Burn scars, also called contractual scars, are often flat, shiny and may cover a large area of skin. Depends on how the skin was burned, this type of scar may affect muscle and tissues under the skin.

Stretch marks are another type of scar. They develop as a result of rapid skin expansion during pregnancy, weight gain, and growth spurts. Stretch marks is located on buttocks, sides, hips, above a joint, such as the knee or elbow, if repeated movement of the skin during healing causes the scar to look elongated either hypo or hyper pigmentation.

What is Bioneedling?

Bioneedling is the newest technique of mechanical stimulation of collagen using nano technology needles on the skin to break down scar naturally to regenerate scar tissue. But what is collagen and why do we need to stimulate it? Collagen is a protein generated by the skin, whose production decreases with age, weakening the structure of the skin itself. Bio-stimulation performed using BioNeedling equipment provides immediate stimulation at the localized and targeted dermal level to combat scar tissues. Each kind of scars will need different Technique and angle to strategically break them down.

The Bioneedling method can also be used to treat all kinds of scars, since it is a natural way to regenerate scar. The process will need few sessions and few months. Result is permanent because you are fixing the skin.

Scar camouflage provides a finishing touch to surgical procedures, scars, burns and other injuries.

Permanent cosmetics scar camouflage can disguise scars and discolorations from cleft palates, birthmarks, non-pigmented age spots, and cosmetic surgeries like face lifts and tummy tucks.

What can I expect to happen during the procedure? We will go through your medical history to determine whether you have any allergies or any indications that would prohibit performing the procedure. I will map out and design your procedure placement and size. Choose a pigment color best match the shade you want. Depend on the type of procedure, usually takes about 2 hours. The color may appear 20-30% darker and brighter than the final result for the first few days. Most people require one initial treatment followed by a second appointment to build up the pigment color.

Is this procedure painful? The procedure should not be painful, although some tingling and discomfort are usually expected. Most patients require a topical local anesthetic cream applied 30-45 minutes prior to the procedure to numb the area.
